EUGENE, OR. – Oregon men's lacrosse continued its unbeaten streak Saturday afternoon after handing northwest rival Washington a 15-3 loss. In the third game of a four game home stretch, the Ducks took 55 shots on goal and the steady weekend performance helped the team move up to #7 in the latest national MCLA poll.
In the previous two games against Montana and Santa Clara, the Ducks had struggled to find rhythm in the first quarter. However, that was not the case Saturday, as the team came out firing on the Huskies and took a 4-0 lead through the first period. Two of the goals came just before penalties, and one came from an outside rip by senior midfielder Erik Lyneis that went in top corner.
