Buffalo Bandits defeat Portland Lumberjax 14-10

The Buffalo Bandits defeated the Portland LumberJax Saturday night by a score of 14-10. The win now moves Buffalo to 10-6 on the season.

John Tavares led the Bandits in scoring with eight points (4+4). Brett Bucktooth and Roger Vyse each lit the lamp twice and posted two assists. Cory Bomberry tallied four assists. Mike Accursi and Kevin Dostie each had three points (1+2) in the game. Ian Llord put one in the net and finished the night with two points (1+1). Delby Powless and Kyle Laverty also put one past the Portland net minder. Pat McCready posted two assists. Goaltender Mike Thompson tallied his second assist of the season.

Chris White led Buffalo with 15 penalty minutes in the game.

Mike Thompson made 46 saves on the night. The net minder allowed 10 goals off 56 shots on goal.

Buffalo's next home game will be Friday, May 2 in their first game of the playoffs. Their opponent has yet to be determined. Game time is 7:30 p.m. Ticket prices range from $19 to $29.
